Earth Rise

Moon, looking back. Earth rises or sets. When I was young, so was the moon.

Earth rise or set.

Concentrate, now where can we find the helmet?

It was next to a crater, I think.

What! There must be a million craters, how shall we ever? Said Sheba.

There is no issue, we can follow the paw print and they will indicate, come.

Sheba in protective field and Sphinx follow the great paw prints unto a crater near it. There on its side looking, lay a space helmet gone missing long ago in the future.

Sheba goes to retrieve; a voice emanates from the crater. What are you taking? Sheba looks up.

Anything and all is mine that is Moony, say the voice, don’t go taking or interfering without a written request, email is accepted of course, OK?

Space person appears out crater in a white vacuum suit, face hiding behind a reflecting glass face plate, black and gold.

Are you the ‘Man In’ we have heard? Asked Sheba.

No, but I got here first, so it’s mine, the whole thing, mine. Now go away. The Space person spoke.

So, says she Sphinx, let me get into this, whomsoever was first upon the moon, then, is in full receipt of its ownership, goods and chattels?

That is the gist, said the space suit. Man or woman unknown.

Then, continued the Sphinx putting on her most regal eye, from a choice of many, I am that Moon Queen. I have visited here over one thousand ago and stayed for two hundred years, I was upset, different story, another time perhaps. So, all I can say to you, young space suit, is Get Off MY MOON!

The androgenous space suit retreated with disappointed shoulders. Soon after, a space rocket type landing craft took off and made like a distant star soon enough.

Sheba, I am betimes impressed by you dearest Sphinx. Your sadnesses must rival the histories of man. I am in hope that I may bring some contentment.

I don’t want to talk about it, says Sphinx, let’s get on. Even unto me this helmet is of interest. Surely it cannot belong to the one they call the Buzz?

Aldrin or Lightyear?

Both legends of course, marked she Sphinx, Buzz Aldrin has always my idol presented. He was so bravest to set down the flying craft with nearly no engine juice left at all! But the Buzz Lightyear is also a showing of the best of us.

Let us examine this helm to discover its provenance. They circled their wagons about and used micro vision to view the detail. On the surface came swirls and micro swirls of information, unintelligible at first.

It is in pictographic script, say Sphinx, I can read hieroglyphics, but I draw the line at cuneiform.

What are its conclusions? Asked Sheba, I shall record it unto my Hat Info file under Moon Helmet.

It is long but to bring a conclusion, is that the oxygen tube access point should be protected from damage with a plastic covering when not in use.

Oh.

Then we shall take all our Hat info files and return to the city of Azz. Come.

They went.
